How many musicians do I need for my event?

The number of musicians you will require depends on your budget, the number of guests, size of the venue and your music selection. We will work with you to help you pick the most appropriate ensemble to fit your tastes and needs.

What types of ensembles do you offer?

Our most popular ensembles are listed as follows. We offer String Quartet, Flute Quartet (flute, violin, viola, cello), String Trio (2 violins and cello), Flute Trio (flute, violin and cello), Violin and Cello Duo, Violin and Piano Duo, Violin and Guitar Duo, Violin and Harp Duo, Solo instrumentalists and other instrumental combinations.

What does it cost to engage an ensemble?

For an accurate quotation please use our booking inquiry form found on our Contact and Bookings page or call us. We have very reasonable and competitive rates. Our prices start from $150, but depend upon the number and type of musicians needed, and the length and location of the venue. We provide a very cost effective way of enhancing your event.

How do I book Classique Music?

You will be asked to sign a contract and pay a 40% deposit when booking. Balance due 1 week before your event. Our booking works on a first come first serve basis. Customers usually book 6 months to a year ahead of time, however for weddings, certain popular summer weekends get bookings much earlier. In any case, please try and see if we are available. Sometimes we can provide great packages on short notice.

Does Classique Music play for Jewish ceremonies and events?

Yes we play for Jewish weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and other events. Our Jewish music repertoire is extensive and available upon request.

What is the professional background of Classique’s musicians?

The musicians of Classique Music are highly trained professionals who have been performing nationally and internationally for over 30 years. They are superbly equipped to handle any unforeseen eventuality that may arise during an engagement.

My Wedding is Outside of Los Angeles. Will you travel to my event?

Yes, we travel outside of greater Los Angeles, but we request a mileage fee based on the distance and number of musicians engaged. Please contact us for our travel rates.

How do I select the appropriate music for my wedding ceremony?

After you have booked Classique Music we provide you with personal consultation and assistance until you are completely satisfied with your choices. No matter what your knowledge of music, your taste is important in deciding what music you would like performed. Think about the atmosphere you want to create. We have a great deal of experience in being able to offer music selections appropriate for every moment of your ceremony or event. If you have special music that means a great deal to you, we most likely are able to accommodate your request. Refer to our audio sample page (access via home page) to get ideas, and use that as starting point for us to work with you in finding the perfect selections.

Someone wrote music for my wedding. Will Classique play it?

We will play requests as long as they are properly arranged or can be arranged to accommodate the musicians. We may request an additional fee to compile an arrangement. We also request the music at least 3 weeks in advance.

What is the Dress Code for the musicians?

Unless otherwise specified, the gentlemen will wear a black tuxedo, white shirt and bow tie. Ladies will perform in black formal dress.

What happens if my ceremony or event goes overtime?

If your event goes overtime, an extra fee will apply. Please ask about our overtime rates.

Do Classique musicians play outdoors?

We play outdoors very often. We must have adequate shielding from sunlight or rain to protect musicians and instruments. For your information in the event of cold weather, musicians cannot play in excessively cold conditions.

What should be provided for the musicians?

Each musician requires a flat seated armless chair for playing. We bring our own music stands and stand lights.

My friend is going to sing at my wedding. Will Classique accompany him/her?

We will perform with other instrumentalists or singers. We’re happy to discuss this with you.
